“其实腊八粥还是很有来头的，”爷爷说：“明朝时候的开国王帝朱元璋，他小时候就是一个放牛郎，在一个寒冷的冬日，他又冷又饿，以为自己就要被饿死了。无意间在洞里摸到了八种食物：黄豆，蚕豆,大米……朱元璋用它们熬成粥来喝。正是这八样东西，帮助朱元璋解除了饥饿。所以在他当上皇帝时，把每年腊月初八这一天定为‘腊八节’。在这天全国人民都要学他的样，熬制美味可口的腊八粥，提醒大家不要忘记以前的苦日子，因此今天也叫‘寒食节’!”
