元宵节是中国的传统节日，早在两千多年前的西汉就有了，元宵赏灯始于东汉明帝时期。
明帝命令这一天夜晚在皇宫和寺庙点灯敬佛，令士族庶民都挂灯。所以现在有元宵燃灯的习俗。晚上我和爸爸妈妈爷爷奶奶一起吃了汤圆，甜甜的，真好吃。吃过晚饭后，我们出去玩。我看见圆圆的月亮挂在天空，家家户户都点亮了红红的灯笼，鞭炮声震耳欲聋，满天的焰火有的像天女散花，有的像菊花盛开一样，美丽极了。
我们来到江北，市民广场的人真多啊!满天飞舞着孔明灯。我们也买了个孔明灯。首先，我们把一块蜡绑在孔明灯底部，然后用火点燃，再用手拿住孔明灯的四个角，过了一会儿，灯里充满热气，渐渐地鼓起来，我们就慢慢地松开手，孔明灯缓缓地飞上天。
