焚烧会对人们造成危害。众所周知，焚烧垃圾会释放有毒烟雾和尘埃，反而会污染空气。许多人患上癌症就是因为吸入受污染的空气。他们中的一些人甚至会死亡。
垃圾中的很多东西可以腐烂分解，如干树叶、吃剩的食物等等。它们可以做成很好的肥料。因此更好的方式是将收集的垃圾用于农田。
